Why use a wort chiller?
Using a wort chiller
allows you to pitch your yeast faster by rapidly cooling your wort after the
boil. It also helps clear your beer with a process called cold break by
settling more solids and tannins to the bottom of your vessel, where they
will remain after transfer. Using a wort chiller eliminates the task of
lifting your vessel in and out of the bathtub.
